Hosted IVR
Mandarin IT provides all of it’s business customers with Hosted Interactive Voice Response (IVR) capabilities, to allow for sales, service, and other functional groups within your business to have relevant calls routed directly to them. We can help you identify and define IVR menus and scripts, arrange for professional voice recording (if required) and implement these for you on your Hosted PBX service.
In short, it’s like adding the capabilities of a professional call centre to your business, for free!

SIP TRUNKING
Historically, business telephone systems (private branch exchanges, or “PBX” for short) were bound by the presence of physical circuits – dedicated pieces of wire that were limited in the number of concurrent voice services they could carry. These were rented from the phone company by the month, and if you only had 4 lines, but say 8 staff, the fifth person to try and make a call would be disappointed.
SIP trunking is a modern solution to this problem. Instead of a fixed number of dedicated call circuits, SIP Trunking gives you the flexibility to only use as few or as many call circuits as you need. Integrated with your data connection, Mandarin IT provides a range of audio codec options to optimise your telephony, and makes it easier to integrate telephony services (such as IVR and voicemail) to work with your other IT systems.
All of our Mandarin IT’s Hosted PBX services utilise SIP trunking, and our redundant points of presence mean the absolute highest levels of service availability. Plus you can take advantage of our fantastic local, national, mobile and international call rates.
IP FAXING
As we all know, fax (short for facsimile) machines allow for the transmission of printed pages to telephone numbers. And as much we’d hoped they had been superseded by technologies such as the web and e-mail, fax machines are still a commonly-used business tool around the world.
But you don’t need a dedicated fax machine, fax line or even a multipurpose device to support business faxing. Mandarin IT’s IP Faxing service allows you to publish a specific fax number for your business, with any received faxes delivered to you by e-mail as PDF documents. It’s simple, paper free, and eliminates more office equipment.
Outbound faxes can be transmitted in much the same way: your saved PDF documents can be transmitted over our fax network to destinations both local and national. We don’t charge per page, instead you get to use the same great rates as voice calls. This means that, for example, a 12-page fax can be sent anywhere within Australia for the price of a single local call.
Best of all, Mandarin IT IP Faxing is included as a standard feature for all of our Hosted PBX customers. So you can continue to use faxing as required, without investing in dedicated lines or equipment.
